You don’t have to “fix yourself” to stop binge eating.
Most people assume binge eating ends when you finally get disciplined enough, but binge eating isn’t a discipline or willpower problem, it’s a regulation strategy.
It’s your nervous system trying to support you from pressure, overwhelm, loneliness, grief, exhaustion, emotional exposure and all the sensations your body doesn’t know how to hold yet. You don’t need to become a different person or change your whole identity.
You need to learn how to relate to your body differently.
And that kind of change happens through consistent support and practice over time.
That’s what these six months are for.
What does it mean to heal binge eating somatically?
It means we stop treating binge eating like the enemy, we start understanding its intelligent role in keeping us safe.
A binge usually begins with activation in the body; pressure, urgency, restlessness, or a sense that something needs to be released.
Eating becomes a way to soothe and settle that activation, it’s a way your nervous system supports you.
And once eating begins, thoughts often appear like:
“You’ve ruined it, again”
“I should be better than this”
“You’re disgusting”
All of which makes it harder to stop because the body enters the physiology of shame.
Restriction often follows afterwards, as the system tries to restore a sense of control, safety, or order. Over time, this becomes a cycle the body returns to automatically.
You didn’t chose it consciously, your nervous system learned that this is what helps you cope.
Somatic healing focuses on changing this at the root by helping your body build the safety and capacity it needs so binge eating no longer feels necessary.
When the nervous system has other ways to regulate, the urgency begins to soften.
And from there, real change becomes possible.
A lot of women have spent years trying to override their primal survival responses with logic. But the body doesn’t change through logic alone.
It changes through felt experience.
- learning to be with sensation without being propelled to food
- learning to create safety and choice without feeling like food is the only option
- learning to notice activation early
Somatic binge eating recovery is essentially this:

To build a relationship with food that isn’t loaded with fear, rules, or rebellion
Most of us grew up either overriding the body, ignoring it, or being scared of it.
In this space, you’ll learn how to relating to your body differently in order to see binge eating dissolve
WHY GROUP WORK?
Because binge eating thrives in isolation.
Shame thrives in secrecy, and shame is the foundation upon which binge eating develops.
Group work creates a different condition, one where:
- you’re not alone in the pattern
- you learn through being witnessed safely
- your system gets the experience of co-regulation
- you stop treating this as a private failure
While this work happens in a group, you are never required to share more than feels right for you.
You are invited to go at your own pace.
Some women speak often. Others spend time listening and observing - both are valid.
There is no right or wrong way to be here and nothing you need to perform or prove.
THE 6 MONTH ARC
This journey isn’t linear, but we do follow an arc.
Each phase builds on the last, allowing change to emerge in a way that feels steady and sustainable.

Binge eating doesn’t begin with food.
It begins in the nervous system.In this first phase, you will learn how to speak the language of your body.
You’ll begin to understand what happens inside your nervous system during stress, emotional overwhelm, loneliness, and pressure — and how binge eating became a way to regulate those states.
We will explore the biology of safety and survival, and help your body begin reconnecting to a sense of safety that isn’t dependent on controlling food, but exists within you.

Many women live disconnected from their bodies, or in quiet conflict with them.
This phase is about repairing that relationship.
You’ll learn how body shame develops, how it lives in the nervous system, and how it perpetuates binge eating patterns.
Through somatic practices, you will begin to relate to your body in a new way, not as something to fix, control, or escape from, but as something you can safely inhabit.

Food is often the body’s first and most reliable regulator.
We explore how binge eating functions biologically and emotionally, how it soothes activation, numbs overwhelm, and restores temporary balance.
You will learn to recognise what happens in your body before, during, and after the urge to binge.
Through this awareness, your nervous system begins developing new ways to regulate, so binge eating becomes less necessary over time.

Many binge eating patterns are connected to how we relate to others.
People-pleasing, emotional responsibility, and suppressing your own needs create internal pressure that the body must eventually release.
You will learn how these patterns live in the nervous system, and how they influence your relationship with food.
As you begin restoring your capacity, recognising your limits, and reconnecting to your own needs, your nervous system no longer has to rely on binge eating as a release valve.

By this stage, your nervous system has begun building more safety and capacity.
You will begin practicing new ways of responding to activation, emotional discomfort, and urges in real time.
You’ll learn how to stay with sensation without becoming overwhelmed, and how to support your body without abandoning yourself.
This is where binge eating patterns begin to loosen more naturally, because your nervous system has other options available.

The final phase is about allowing the changes to stabilise.
Your nervous system learns through repetition, safety, and lived experience.
This month supports the integration of everything you’ve learned, so your relationship with food and your body feels more steady, predictable, and peaceful.
From this place, binge eating no longer holds the same role in your life.
Not because you forced it to stop.
But because your body no longer needs it in the same way.

The programme runs from 29 April to 28 October 2026.
Live sessions take place on Wednesdays at:
1:00–2:30pm BST (UK)
2:00–3:30pm CET (Europe)
8:00–9:30am ET (Eastern US)
5:00–6:30am PT (Pacific US)
We meet for three consecutive weeks, followed by one integration week. These integration weeks are intentional pauses that allow your nervous system time to rest and integrate the work.
All sessions are recorded and available inside the portal if you’re unable to attend live.

This work focuses on changing the nervous system patterns that drive binge eating in the first place.
Binge eating is not a discipline problem. It is a regulation strategy.
Women who have spent decades in talk therapy, been part of OA and the 12 step programme along with many other binge eating groups, have all said that this is the first place they have become free.
As your nervous system develops more safety and capacity, binge eating naturally begins to lose its urgency. -
Yes.
Many women who join have struggled for 10, 20, or 30 years.
This work does not rely on willpower. It works by helping your body discover new ways to regulate, so binge eating is no longer needed in the same way.
Change happens at the level where the pattern was created.

This is very normal.
Most women arrive feeling both hope and hesitation.
Binge eating often develops in isolation. Entering a supported space can feel unfamiliar at first.
You will be guided slowly, and nothing is forced.
Safety develops over time.

Yes.
Binge eating, restriction, and emotional eating are all ways the nervous system attempts to regulate.
This programme addresses the underlying patterns that drive all of them.

The group will be capped at 15 people. The group is intentionally kept small.
This allows the space to remain safe, relational, and properly supported.

If you’ve tried therapy, diets, intuitive eating, mindset work, or coaching and nothing has lasted, it makes sense that you’d feel this way.
But this doesn’t mean you are broken.
It means you were given tools that didn’t address where binge eating actually lives.
